Not yet Jess, im waiting for my order to ship from Desert Warrior Products. I ordered a PWS compensator and Geissele SSA-E trigger from them 2 months ago! NEVER deal with them! Several e-mails and several excuses later . . . . . still waiting. Wow!! That sucks to hear. I've never ordered from them.

I got a email from them last night saying they had no idea when the stuff was going to ship, their waiting for the manufactures to ship? Everyone else on the planet has this stuff but them! I said F it and ordered from Primary Arms, they are awesome to deal with!

The thing is it was great pricing so if they actually come through it would be nice. I'm leaving the order in and whenever the stuff comes in I'll just use it on the next project.

finally found some mag's for my XDS in stock at a fair price. Got three for $100 shipped when everyone else was at $40 each plus shipping. Now I'll save some dollars for the girls PK380 mags. I am on the hurry up and wait from LAXammo.com as they had a free shipping 4th sale and I ordered 500 rounds each of 9mm and 380 but their site says "please be patient as we work overtime to get orders shipped". I'd complain but as twister said.... the pricing was great, ie: can't get it for less, so it should be worth the wait as long as it goes bang when it gets here.

I have used ammotogo.com and usually just go with the best deal so I kinda buy everywhere. Really at the moment I'm not buying and just waiting for prices to come down. When they bottom out I binge buy, lol. Last time I bought .223 I got 4000 rounds at $280 per 1000, that's what I'm shooting now.

ahh dang... I see that and then I see that budsgunshop is now doing a 6month layaway "180 days to pay" BS that just makes my OCD spidey sense tingle.
Everytime I click on "about to buy it now" I make sure and reset my brain and say with that purchase you must also order 2000 rounds and have the bankroll ready to purchase another 1000 a month minimum... that's so far been enough to scare me away.
I do however have a reloading station coming together nicely at my parents house. We've got about 300#'s of lead. A lyman melting pot with spout. A few lyman dual cavity 9mm, 380, and 45 bullet molds. A sonic brass washer. A heated bullet luber. We've got the progressive reloader setup for 9mm and the old school reloader set for 380. I've got about 700 rounds of empty brass for my 9mm with about 1800 rounds not spent yet. Looking for deals on about 5000 small pistol primers and I think I've found a great source for bullets as well. If I cast my own bullets they are effectively free as I'm melting old wheel weights off of semi's. I've found some deals where I can get jacketed RN bullets for about 7.4 cents each. I'm at about 3.5 cents a piece on the primers and I'm just getting into finding good deals on powder.
The only saving grace I have is that I'm working over 60 hours a week so my time to be awake and shooting is limited.
Now some would say why would you even bother casting bullets when really you aren't saving that much money. I have an easy answer. I'm 42, my Dad is 71 and still alive, I'll be doing all this reloading and casting with my Dad to cherish the time I have. He's in perfect health and the most active "old man" I know but we all know that each day is a gift. So as you can see, it's not all about the money. It's all about my Dad and my OCD follows through with the rest.

If (when) you get into rifles and start looking at ARs, building one instead of buying complete will be the way to go. Buy the components one at a time and that way you don't need to come up with a large amount of cash at once, plus then you can pick the parts/features you want.

even though I stop myself I still look. I may even build a left handed one just because I can. I'm right handed but left eye dominant and when shooting rifles it's nice to have the brass eject away from me.
That's a project for another day though.

Very nice, Twisty. I think that's the same scope I have on my .308 It's a Nikon M-308 with a nikoplex reticle, works great! Also added the Harris bipod with a GG&G quick disconnect mount and the previously mentioned Geissele trigger and FSC muzzle break. I'm happy with the package but didn't realize I would end up at $2700 into it, eeeek! Did you get that thing to the range yet?

alright. I've got 1800 rounds and just a bit over 6 weeks before labor day which is the next big sale day that I see coming. So if I shoot 300 rounds a week I should be just about good before a major restock that will need to get me to thanksgiving or so.
Of course we do have veterans day before thanksgiving and we have black friday after so it may be a multiple order frenzy.
Plan ahead.. save money.. shoot often.

That's a good list of goodies on that. I too went with a Harris Bipod. Unfortunately, I have not found the time to take it to the range yet :-(

I've now purchased 1000 rounds of 9mm at two different times for $200-205 shipped. Much better than 15 weeks ago when it was $300

This is totally off topic from what's being discussed and I didn't want to start a new thread but feel free to either move it or delete it or whatever. Maybe you guys have seen this video.

Hey, I've got a question for the firearm experts in the clan, specifically anyone who might have any experience with nonlethal ammunition (rubber bullets, beanbag shot, pepper balls, etc.). I've been having a good natured FB debate with a friend of mine about whether nonlethal ammo could be effective in quickly subduing or incapacitating a suspect if used by law enforcement to the exclusion of the usual live ammo. Specifically, is the effectiveness of nonlethal ammo over-hyped and if not, in what situations would a standard issue round succeed where the nonlethal variant would outright fail.
I'm not looking to start a political debate here on the boards. Just looking for information and/or insights so I can be better informed. Any reply here or privately would be appreciated.
