I know many have seen the powerline adapters that ZahZoh has mentioned and linked in other threads. Whiskeyduck being new to his home was having issues with his wifi ps4 due to distance/walls. His ps4 would randomly lag out due to intermittent jittery wifi signal. I mentioned the zyxel powerline adapters that Zah had mentioned awhile ago. He bought them and all internet problems have been solved. Just plug one in near your modem into an outlet and run an ethernet cable to it. Then plug another wherever your PS4 is and run an ethernet cable from that to your PS4. All that information has already been stated but I bring this up as I've been watching the prices of these things for a few weeks now. FYI newegg is running a promotion on them that gives you $30 off a pair (enough to connect one device) www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=33-181-423paste the promo code in and you save $30. Good luck to any that need them and if you end up getting some please leave some feedback upon installation.

As a follow up, after moving my router / internet a couple times, I found that if I placed it in a centralized location (living room), then using 3 line adapters (I have an extra as it is cheaper to buy them in pairs), I am running 50 mb down and 5 up where my actual router is. My PC is running via an adapter at 36 - 45 down, and 5 up in an upstairs bedroom converted into an office. My PS4, that is in the basement, along with Apple TV, running of a 4 port hub through Zyxel is now hitting a steady 40+ down and 5 down.
Prior to this, in the basement I was lucky to get to 20 down and 1 up, and it would drop to below 5 down and 300 bytes up. The office hung at around 20, so they clearly work. From the research I read, I did go with the 1200 series, which is designed for 1.2 GB trunk lines, so way more than you need, but they have better technology and basically it allows me to hit max speeds at peaks, and hold a steady connection.
Last note, I got a free upgrade to 100 / 10 from my provider for 1 month trial due to issues, and the Zyxels pushed an average of 80 - 90 down / 10 up. So they do work!!!
