Another Video, as per Gene's request there is a beer bottle In this one I used Sony exclusives and think it turned out OK. I want to do one more with unreleased Sony exclusives and see how it looks. I think I know what I will be doing for a final product but we will see. Can someone send me an original copy of the song. I clipped this off Youtube and it is all wonky! Low quality, Winamp says it is 24 minutes long and when I sync it in CyberLink it is a nightmare and I never get the end of the song?

My video was flagged as using third party content from "Sanoma NL" WTF! In doing some research I found this with complaints going as far back as 2009: I thought I should add something since new information has been discovered. Sanoma NL, one of the companies who has been filing copyright on videos that they do not rightfully own, has been uncovered.
Sanoma NL is a game-reviewing website who posts their reviews on youtube (found here - www.youtube.com/user/gamerNL). Apparently what they have been doing, is claiming visual copyright over their REVIEWS of games, and claiming that as their own. The problem with this, is that anyone else who wants to do a review(or whatever) of the game now gets automatically slapped with an automatic "visual copyright claim" suit by Sanoma. Sanoma NL does not own any of the content that they are attempting to claim. It belongs solely to the game developers/artists/designers
For those wondering how this is possible, let me explain: Video games all tend to have "intro"s to them. Video-game reviewers like to include these "intro"s in their review as an introduction to the game and what they have to say. Since Sanoma has this intro in each of their game-reviews, anyone thereafter who wants to do a review of the same game (and thereby have the video game intro) now gets automatically hit with a "visual copyright claim" from Sanoma. I have no problems with EA, Activision, Zipper, Insomniac etc... filing claims on my videos but this is just wrong. Sanoma posts clips with probably as much right as I do but they are going one step further and actually claiming them as their property? When I put in my brand new Bluray of Starhawk, Sanoma will be listed in the credits? I could not find any way to contact Youtube about this aside from snail mail. I think Sanoma should be investigated by the game developers and publishers. Anyone else have these problems? Any advice or knowledge? Am I missing something, does Sanoma own stuff that I don't know about?

I'd contact the Game Developer and let them know. Anyway, I have all of the music tracks but the current song is just a rough cut and there are still several people working on their tracks. I will make a final cut after everything is in to me. *note* there may be changes made to the song for the final cut (like the intro, ect.), but I will not tamper with anyones musical contribution.
If you want the current MP3 of the vid I posted, just IM me and I'll email it to you. Also, you may want to talk to Soulfader as he was also interested in making a vid.
The song is still open for comments, questions, and anyone that may want to contribute!

I'd contact the Game Developer and let them know. I want too but I have no idea what clip they are claiming is theirs. I filed a dispute and the matter seems to be dropped at the moment. I thought of uploading each clip separately to see which ones get flagged so I could notify the developer/s. Even tho that would be time consuming I think I should try and do something on principle alone but I also don't want 10 strikes on my account, after the Casey video I think I am only allowed 2 more. Anyway, I have all of the music tracks but the current song is just a rough cut and there are still several people working on their tracks. I will make a final cut after everything is in to me. *note* there may be changes made to the song for the final cut (like the intro, ect.), but I will not tamper with anyones musical contribution. I was just playing around to see what people thought. Not much sense in getting excited or donating too much time until it is finished.

mega, I hereby give you full permission to edit or fix timing of my bassline.
Puddle, file a complaint with the FTC, find Youtube's locale and file/email complaint with local attorney general, find Sanoma NL's corporate state location and do the same find that state's attorney general and file/email complaint. Contact each developer and publisher and email/call and inform them of this review company's claim to visual copyright ownership. All this can be done for free except snail mail. I would be willing to bet that company will get shut down quick or at least a full blown halt to that claim. Also looking into the visual copyright ownership and look to see what constitutes that right and use that in your filed reports and emails.
After you have done all that contact Sanoma NL with a similar letter stating that you have filed reports on them and pull a copy of the definition of what visual copyright means put that in there. Also let them know that you have also sent a email/letter to the developers/publishers of those games and if they continue to claim ownership that they may expect lawsuits for false claims from the people that actually created and own those IPs.

Waiting on Gene and Rockstar for their guitar parts (if they still want to do it). I'm gonna try to start a background/percussion track soon, but that can be done anytime. Not sure if we want lyrics. Do we? I did have a cool chorus in mind for a couple different spots

Yep, I still want to do it.
I'm having to try and find a new video card for my 2005 G5 Powermac - it seems it's considered to be a relic and I'm having trouble finding one.
I've had trouble with it for a while but it would always work eventually. Of course, when I tried to use it for the OTD track it decided it had finally died 100%!
I've also been real busy trying to get a new job which is finally over so as soon as I can get a new video card I'll be laying down some monster guitar Brit-style.

Maybe we should take a vote on vocals?

Maybe we should take a vote on vocals? Vocals are a minor concern, you can always have an instrumental and a vocal version.

Of Course the Inspirational Cover is Canadian!! Though I am very tempted to find an mp3 of the supreme ultimate collaboration and make a "Super Mega Ultima Max factor de final Collaboration" and add some bass and distorted guitar along with some congas!

If you do, I'd like to add the drum track! I've thought of adding a raging drum beat to several PS3 theme songs I saw a guy on youtube that did the whole Skyrim theme song himself by scratch (split into several different parts). He did a pretty good job too...
